Shiva Shafiei, FNP, is a nurse practitioner at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in Corpus Christi, Texas.
A native of Iran, Shiva was born and raised in Isfahan, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Isfahan University before moving to the United States in 2007.
Shiva has always been interested in science and how the human body works which is why she chose to fulfill her career in family medicine. She loves the fact she can take care of her patients in so many different aspects. Shiva truly enjoys talking to her patients and educating them about prevention, diagnosis, treatment options, or diet counseling. She finds it truly rewarding to see her patients happier and healthier.
Shiva’s greatest influence in her life are her parents. Both retired teachers, they taught her to always be humble and help others in any way possible.
Shivas’s philosophy and commitment to patient care, “is to bring a quality of care and to treat my patients in a holistic approach and creating a clear connection between physical and emotional well-being of my patients.”
Shiva earned a Master of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. She received an Associate in Nursing from Del Mar College. She is a member of the American Associate of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is a certified diabetes educator by NCBDE.
