CHRISTUS Health opens new southeast Texas hospital to expand local health care access

CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System celebrated today the opening of CHRISTUS Health West Beaumont, expanding access to high-quality, compassionate health care for residents in the community.
The nearly six-acre campus features medical offices, a 24/7 emergency department, surgical services, specialized procedures, advanced imaging and the latest in orthopedic care, ensuring patients can receive expert treatment close to home. The facility opens to the public Wednesday.
“As the need for health care grows in southeast Texas, we continue to expand our services to ensure community residents have access to the innovative, faith-based care they expect and deserve,” said Paul Trevino, president and chief executive officer of CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System. “We know our community has choices as to where they seek care, and our intent is to continue providing easy access to the best physicians close to home.”
The new hospital, located at 6025 Metropolitan Dr. in west Beaumont, is housed in the former Medical Center of Southeast Texas - Victory Campus. It is connected to the newly opened CHRISTUS Orthopedics Sports Medicine Institute.
“We want to offer residents in Beaumont, Port Arthur and beyond access to our health system and the exceptional care we provide,” Trevino said. “As the southeast Texas community continues to grow, so will we. We are honored to meet this need and continue our mission of expanding the healing ministry of Jesus Christ in this community.”
The new hospital offers a team of experts providing personalized care to each patient’s unique needs and promoting their well-being.
Micah Axton, chief operating officer for CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic, emphasized the significance of this expansion.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of another growth opportunity for CHRISTUS Health in the southeast Texas community,” Axton said. “With this new location in west Beaumont, we are increasing access to our renowned specialists and surgical expertise, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care.”
